In this lesson is about
‘cleaning my house’. Teacher starts with showing the pictures about rooms in house
and asks students what we are going to learn today. After that, Teacher teaches the
vocabulary from lesson and gives students repeated after sound to pronounce like
the foreigner.
When teacher starts the lesson teacher asks student about their house such as rooms at house and the activity that
students do in their house. Then teacher plays conversation form audio to students but teacher do not give a worksheet at first. After listen teacher give worksheet to students and let students do it with plays audio again. In the next activity teacher divides students
into five groups and gives each group a sentence. When students in each group read sentence
they have to make conversation about situation given and present with role
play.
The lesson is focus on listening and speaking. Teacher wants students to think and practice by listening and speaking
skills. When students finish this lesson they will describe about their housework.

Outline:
PRE-TASK (10
minutes)
1. Teacher tells the students about the
story what we are going to learn.
(We are going to learn
about cleaning my house.)
2. Teacher selects necessary words about
cleaning my house, such as
wipe off, spring
cleaning, deep cleaning, the dirty work, to do the wash, to air it out etc. to set context. (Students look at the
PowerPoint slide and learn about vocabulary.)
3. Teacher turns on the sound of each word and asks students
to repeat. (Students look at the slide and repeat after the sounds of
vocabulary.)
4. Teacher asks the
students. “If this room is your house, how do you want to clean? (Students answer
the question.)
TASK CYCLE (30

5. Teacher asks the students to listen to the conversation.
(the first times, without the worksheets)
6. Teacher gives the conversation worksheets to students and
asks them to work in pairs. They have to listen to the conversation about
cleaning my house again and complete the worksheet (no.1). (Students listen to
the conversation and complete the blanks in worksheet.) (twice)

7. After they
finished in worksheet (1), teacher turns on the sound of conversation again and
asks them to answer the questions about cleaning the house (multiple choices in

Teacher asks them to practice about pronouncing conversation.
9. Teacher divides the students into 5 groups and gives them
situation.
Group 1. It’s raining now. There are many plastic
bags on the wet floor in your garage. How do you want to clean?
Group 2. There are many dirty clothes and socks on
the floor in the living room. How do you want to clean?
Group 3. You see the wet floor at the door of your
house. How do you want to clean?
Group 4. Now, you are in the dirty kitchen. And
your mother is coming to cook. How do you want to clean?
Group 5. The mouse died on your bed. How do you
want to clean?
They have to make a conversation about situation given and
present to class with role play. (Assessment; speaking rubric for role play)
Homework
Students have to write about how to help their parents to clean
the house. Then report it to teacher.

10. Teacher discusses language feather with students and
explains the language focus to them. (Phrasal verb)
A phrasal verb is a combination of a verb and preposition, a verb and
an adverb, or a verb with both an adverb and a preposition. It has a meaning which is different from the original verb.
Example:
wipe off
(wash) = wipe (v.) + off (prep.)
get on (get in a car) = get (v.) + on (prep.)
look after
(take care of) = look (v.) + after
(prep.)
